The article deals with topical issues and contradictions, existing in cooperation between the head of state and the judicial authorities. The author analyses current legislation regarding general provisions, constituent and supervising functions, performed by the head of state and the judicial branch, as part of theoretical-comparative description of cooperation between the head of state and the judicial branch in Ukraine and CIS countries.
